Helium balloons
Light, eye-catching, effective
Helium balloons are one of the most versatile elements of balloon decor. They float, move gently through the space and draw the eye. As a single eye-catcher, a balloon bunch at reception, a logo balloon for promotions or a large floating installation above an area.
Helium balloons create atmosphere without feeling heavy. That's exactly what makes them so strong for weddings, corporate events, trade shows, shop windows, product launches and private events.
Chrollo Balloon delivers helium balloons in Berlin and across Germany. We work with high-quality latex balloons, foil balloons, mirror balloons and printed balloons with your logo or a custom design.
The difference between a basic helium balloon and a professional solution lies in material quality, proper filling, careful planning and longevity.
With Hi-Float treatment, careful helium filling and the right preparation, latex balloons can float for several days, depending on size, environment and location.
That's the difference between decor that only looks good for a short while and a display that reliably delivers when your event happens.

What makes our helium balloons
better
Two details set our helium balloons apart from many standard offers: high-quality materials and professional preparation.
Hi-Float treatment
Hi-Float is a special interior coating for latex balloons. It is applied inside the balloon before helium filling and significantly reduces how much helium escapes through the latex.
While an untreated latex balloon often floats for only a few hours, Hi-Float can extend that to several days. For weddings, corporate events, trade shows or multi-day promotions, that is a decisive advantage.
Professional helium filling
The right fill determines the look, the float time and the impact. We fill balloons with professional equipment and match balloon size, material, fill level and location to each project.
Depending on the event, we fill on site or right before delivery. That way, the balloons look clean, float well and make their full impact when your event begins.
What sizes are available?

Ideal for accents, lasts longer, carries more weight.
36"
approx. 90 cm
Big impact for shop windows, events or stage decor.
How long does
a helium balloon float?
How long a helium balloon floats depends on several factors. Balloon size, material, fill level, room temperature, sunlight, humidity and wind all make a significant difference.
Indoors, helium balloons usually last longer than outdoors. Heat, direct sun and sharp temperature changes in particular can shorten float time.
The ratio of surface area to volume also plays a big role. The larger the balloon, the longer it usually floats, as long as the conditions are right.
As a rule of thumb: larger balloons float longer and look much more premium at the same time. For events, trade shows and larger spaces, we therefore often recommend 18 inch, 24 inch or 36 inch instead of small standard balloons.
All float times are guidelines based on good indoor conditions. For outdoor use, we recommend an individual assessment, since wind, heat, cold and direct sunlight can strongly affect how long balloons last.

Where helium balloons make their impact
Helium balloons suit many occasions, but their effect varies with the setting. What matters is that size, color, material and quantity fit the venue and the goal of the event.
Weddings and private parties
At weddings, helium balloons create light, elegant accents. They work at the reception, on tables, above lounge areas or as large floating elements in the room.
Large latex balloons, foil letters with initials or the wedding date, soft pastels, rose gold, champagne and white tones look especially elegant. With Hi-Float treatment, latex balloons hold up reliably even through a long wedding day.
Corporate Events and Product Launches
At corporate events, helium balloons set a welcoming mood, mark out areas and guide guests through the space. They can be used as logo balloons, floating accents, balloon bunches or large installations.
We match colors, materials and overall effect to your corporate identity. Helium balloons are especially strong at reception, above lounge areas, at photo spots or as subtle branding in the room.
Openings and window promotions
At store openings, pop-up events and window displays, helium balloons work as mobile eye-catchers. They are visible from a distance, can be placed flexibly and grab attention fast.
For maximum impact, we recommend strong brand colors, larger balloon formats and clear placement at the entrance or right in the shop window.

Trade Show Booths and In-House Shows
At trade shows, helium balloons add height, visibility and volume to your booth. They help you get noticed from several meters away and draw visitors in.
Depending on the trade show regulations, we work with secure anchoring, suitable balloon sizes and careful planning for setup, booth impact and teardown.
Birthdays and private events
At private events, helium balloons are an accessible yet impactful format. Single balloons add small accents, while larger bunches work as table decor, a room highlight or a photo spot.
For milestone birthdays, anniversaries or special occasions, number balloons, letter balloons and color-coordinated balloon sets work especially well. We deliver right to your home or event venue, fill on site if you like and make sure the decor is ready when your event starts.

How many helium balloons do you actually need?
That depends heavily on your goal and the venue. Do you want individual floating highlights spread around the room, a ceiling of balloons or a strong accent at the entrance?
As a rule of thumb:
10 to 15 helium balloons per weight create a loose, decorative effect. It looks harmonious without feeling overdone.
For a stronger effect, 20 to 30 balloons can go on a single weight. This creates much more volume and works especially well in large rooms, at corporate events, openings or high-visibility promotions.
The setting matters. In large, airy venues with lots of open space, a few balloons quickly lose their impact. Plan more generously there so the decor stays visible.
Outdoors, we recommend larger balloons, such as 18 inch or 24 inch. They look more premium, are easier to see and keep the overall look steadier when there's a light breeze.
We're happy to advise you on the number, size and arrangement that suit your space, your audience and the effect you want. Helium balloons are light, but their impact can be huge.
Latex, foil, mirror: which one when?
Helium balloons come in different materials. Each one has its own look, its own advantages and its own ideal use.
Premium latex helium balloons
Latex balloons are versatile, high quality and available in many colors. They are especially well suited to balloon bunches, floating accents, entrance areas, weddings, corporate events and larger displays.
With Hi-Float treatment, latex balloons float much longer than basic standard balloons. That makes them especially attractive for events that need to make an impact over several hours or several days.
Foil helium balloons
Foil balloons are ideal for clean shapes, numbers, letters, symbols and individual accents. They look more graphic than latex balloons and hold their shape very well.
They are often used for birthdays, anniversaries, product launches, openings and photo spots. Number balloons, letter balloons and simple symbol shapes are especially popular.
Mirror balloons (chrome foil)
Mirror balloons look especially premium, modern and striking. Their reflective surface creates a strong visual effect, making them a great match for premium events, trade shows, launches and modern brand presentations.
They work best as standalone highlights, floating accents and in displays involving light, glass, metal or high-end interior concepts.
Printed foil balloons with logo
Printed foil balloons are a good fit for clear designs, logos, brand messages or graphic elements. They can be used deliberately as branded surfaces and work especially well for promotions, trade shows, product launches and corporate events. Depending on the design, balloon shape and quantity, we check whether foil balloons are the right solution or whether a printed latex balloon would look more premium.
Printed latex balloons with logo
Printed latex balloons are often the best solution for subtle, high-end branding. Filled with helium, they look especially clean, light and professional.
We don't recommend logo printing for balloon garlands and large balloon installations. Too many logos quickly look busy and cheapen the overall effect. Branding should be visible, but used deliberately and with a sense of quality.

Balloon printing
We also work with an experienced print shop that prints balloons from our range to your specifications. Options include logo prints, brand messages, symbols or custom designs, depending on balloon size, color, material and quantity.
At corporate events, promotions, product launches and trade shows in particular, printed balloons can create strong brand impact. They turn a floating element into a visible brand ambassador that draws attention while staying decorative.
We deliberately use high-quality balloon materials. They look cleaner, are more durable and suit a professional brand presence better than very cheap alternatives.
Important: allow enough lead time for balloon printing. Depending on the design, quantity and production capacity, we recommend sending your inquiry at least 14 to 30 days before the event.
Frequently asked questions about helium balloons
1
What does a professional helium balloon cost?
The cost depends on size, material and finish.
A high-quality latex helium balloon usually starts at a few euros per balloon. Larger balloons, foil balloons, number balloons or custom-printed versions cost more accordingly.
For corporate events, weddings, trade shows and openings, we prepare individual quotes that cover materials, helium, filling, delivery and setup.
4
Helium balloons indoors or outdoors: what should I keep in mind?
Indoor spaces offer the best conditions for helium balloons. Constant temperatures, no direct sunlight and no wind ensure maximum longevity.
Outdoors, sun, temperature changes and wind act directly on the balloons, which can significantly shorten their float time.
For outdoor events, we recommend larger balloons, high-quality materials and, for latex balloons, always a Hi-Float treatment.
7
Are helium balloons safe
for indoor events?
Yes.
Helium is a non-flammable, non-toxic noble gas and has been used at events for many years.
Our materials meet the standard quality requirements for professional event decor.
As with any balloons, however, children should not play with balloons or strings unsupervised.
2
How long do helium balloons last?
How long they last depends on balloon size, material, temperature and location.
Without Hi-Float, latex helium balloons usually float for 8 to 12 hours.
With Hi-Float treatment, float time extends to about 5 to 14 days, depending on size.
Indoors, foil balloons often last anywhere from several days to several weeks.
Direct sunlight, wind, high temperatures or sharp temperature swings can shorten float time.
5
How does helium balloon delivery to the venue work?
Depending on the project, we deliver the balloons ready-filled to the venue or fill them on site.
For larger events, we coordinate delivery, setup and filling time with your event schedule.
This ensures the balloons are in perfect condition and make their full impact the moment your event begins.
8
Helium balloons for kids: what should I keep in mind?
Helium balloons are generally child-friendly.
However, we recommend always securing balloons properly and avoiding long strings, especially around small children.
Children should never deliberately inhale from balloons or put damaged balloon pieces in their mouths. Choking hazard!
For events with lots of children, we're happy to advise on the most suitable sizes and attachments.
3
What is Hi-Float and
why does it matter?
Hi-Float is a special interior coating for latex balloons.
It is applied inside the balloon before helium filling and greatly reduces how much helium escapes through the latex.
As a result, latex balloons float significantly longer.
Especially at weddings, corporate events, trade shows or multi-day events, Hi-Float keeps balloons looking good longer and floating reliably.
6
Can I get helium balloons with a logo or lettering?
Yes.
We offer custom-printed latex and foil balloons with your logo, lettering or advertising message.
Printed balloons are especially popular at corporate events, trade shows, product launches, openings and promotions.
Depending on the design, balloon size and quantity, we'll advise you on which printing option gives the most premium result.
9
How much lead time do I need
for helium balloons?
For standard orders, we recommend sending your inquiry at least one to two weeks before the event.
For printed balloons, custom colors or larger projects, allow two to four weeks of lead time.
The earlier you plan, the wider the choice of colors, sizes and custom design options.
